Specialty Programs & Boot Camps

F.I.T. Boot Camp blends cardio endurance with bodyweight exercises and resistance training. It’s the perfect supplement to your fitness routine. Both challenging and exciting, this class draws a large crowd. Equipment used in this program are: barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, trap bars, sleds, battle ropes, sandbags, slam balls, medicine balls, fitness bands, and much more.  All fitness levels are welcome, as we provide exercise regressions tailored to your fitness level.  May also be performed outdoors depending on season. This program is a month to month program.

By Ralph Barbato class is a no-nonsense approach to achieving optimal results in the gym through hard work, mental toughness and dedication. It’s designed to blend the science of functional training with unconventional training methods.  The workouts are structured and programmed into mini cycles focusing on building strength, power, conditioning and endurance.   

Coach Ralph Barbato created this program out of necessity because of witnessing gym members that train without proper form and without direction.  The beauty of this program is that it’s structured, specific and you will train with a purpose. 

Young Athletes do not perform well on the playing field without a foundation of strength. No matter how many times you run or learn running techniques you don’t get fast by being weak.  This program develops all levels of strength and conditioning in Athletes.  To be a beast on the field, you need to be a beast in the gym and that happens in this lifting program. Equipment used in this program include: barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, trap bars, sleds, battle ropes, sandbags, slam balls, medicine balls, fitness bands, and much more. Full Teams or small groups are welcomed. 

Spartan Strength Training Camp helps you develop the strength and endurance needed to take on Obstacle Course Races such as: Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash, Rugged Maniac and others. You will learn to train hard, so you can race easy. This class has provided success to hundreds of members cross the finish line with confidence and ease. 

A Staten Island Original since 2008, this program mimics the TV Show, “The Biggest Loser”. It’s a weight loss contest where prizes are awarded at the end of the 3-month timeframe. Members train twice per week with a Trainer and to ensure success, members document their daily food intake for the trainers to review and recommend nutrition strategies.  The 2017 Program Winner lost 65 lbs. The program has an outstanding track record of weight loss. 

This class designed to take intimidation and fear out of a group training environment. This structured class works strength on day one and conditioning on day two. It’s a great class for newbies that joined the gym but need direction and a proven plan to train with success. Workouts vary and you’ll never suffer from boredom. Class is also great for those that have come back to the gym after a period of inactivity.  Class meets Monday & Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. You work at your own pace and level. 

SUNDAY MUAY THAI KICKBOXING FREQUENCY: SEASONAL – SUNDAY MORNINGS AT 10:00 AM In our Kickboxing class, you’ll learn the art of Muay Thai Kickboxing. Your endurance and strength will be challenged as you fight your way to better health with the “Art of the 8 Limbs”. Boxing/MMA gloves are required. 

 Women’s self-defense is a situational based Adrenaline and Stress Preparation Training course and is utilized as a full force self-defense program. Stephen Mullaney has learned and derived these proven techniques from multiple martial art disciplines that are used for specific violent crimes scenarios and situations are derived from interviews with survivors and various law enforcement agencies and specialist.  

Students will be taught from a multiple martial arts backgrounds and applied research to develop options through realistic experiences from my time abroad in Australia and as a life long NYC resident. 

Students will develop assertiveness as they practice verbal de-escalation and negotiation, boundary setting, and refine their physical abilities against any Assailant for self-protection.
